I am a building enclosure consultant with a background in structural engineering. I specialize in the design, investigation, and rehabilitation of roofing, exterior wall, fenestration, and waterproofing systems. I founded and lead Copeland Building Envelope Consulting's practice in the Southeast.

I hold Professional Engineer (PE) licenses in five states (GA, AL, NC, SC, and TN). In September 2026, I became the 15th person in the world to hold all of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) consultant-level credentials, and the seventh to do so while also holding a professional architecture or engineering license.

I serve on the jury for IIBEC's Excellence in Building Enclosure Consulting Awards, an annual program that recognizes the best building enclosure projects from around the world.
